After every meal, no matter the level of eatery – from road-side pit stop to the glorious Taj Palace Hotel – little candy-covered anis seeds are served. Before this trip, I had a huge aversion to anything associated with black-licorice flavor. Times have changed and now, I just don’t feel done until the spoonful of bright colored- seeds slide down my throat.

Wow! That's CRAZY. I hate anise and have been tricked by the Indian candies before. I'm impressed you're liking them. I need to go to India too. I want to like them. Such a mature palate you have!
