SUMMER IN PORTLAND

(blackberry flowers shot with the mini)

is just so magical -- there's blackberry bushes flowering and fruiting all around us -- the perfumey roses are in their full glory -- I'm finding my way at my new job -- my parents are coming with the dog for a visit . . . AND -- D has a show of his latest paintings, which he's hanging tonight, at the Stumptown on Belmont. His work is amazing and I couldn't be prouder.

(jungle ruin)

Most of these pieces D completed in India, during our time living there -- it has been remarkable for me to watch him do his thing, such focus and dedication! I'm in awe of his patience and attention.

If you are in town on August 3rd, do stop into Stumptown, 3356 SE Belmont St.
Portland, OR 97214, for the opening from 5-7pm.

We have lots to look forward to and be grateful for. Sometimes I have to pinch myself, I love where we live, our pals and the life we get to have -- full of delicious things to eat, leisurely bicycle rides, sniffing of 'smelly good' roses, the hammock on our porch, the garden, the list goes on and on.
