Right? I mean, doesn't this giant pink thing make you smile? The birthday girl, Rachel (hiding behind the monstrosity) said it looked like 8 princesses had to die and give up their hats to assemble such a beast.

Look here at Ms. Arna Bee in her sweet room! Isn't my photography friend adorable? We finally met in Santa Barbara last week after admiring each others work from afar then eventually becoming Skype friends. I must say, this darling lady was even better in person. Her joyful smile and accomplished portfolio dazzled me.

Look out for this girl's work all over the place.

KATY & VITO

Our girl Katy McCarthy is pretty indescribable. She's a wonderful, exuberant performance artist who also makes ridiculous, large sculptures. Humor and lightness characterize her work as well as her personality. She's an absolute joy to collaborate with and we cannot but help speak in faux German accents via Skype on a daily basis. Katy allowed me to photograph her crazy Isla Vista co-op kitchen awhile back and this time, I got her new culinary situation, she's living on a boat! This lady goes from one unique set up to the next, living the the life of a bon vivant. Katy is awesome. She's a muse upon muses. And she adores Mr. Vito.

She is so much more than all of these things.
