LA TIENDA DE UNAS

Wow. We found our favorite store in Mexico - the fingernail art shop! Here you can buy plastic hands to practice your craft, assorted sparkles and do-dahs to apply (hello kitties called my name real bad), acrylic tips, glitter, rhinestones, inspirational nail posters. I'm in love.

FELIZ NAVIDAD

I've always loved the anticipation of the holidays and Christmas Eve is one of my absolute favorite days of the year. Growing up we celebrated Christmas and Hanukkah, but it was when the 24th of December rolled around, I tended to go absolutely nuts. We were allowed to open one gift early and I chose it with great trepidation and care... Usually I went for a gift given by a shoe-in gift giver, namely my best friend Kate who always came through with a fashionable item from one of our coveted mall stops, Contempo Casuals or Judy's -- we were Southern California mall chicks, what can I say?!

I still love this day. Happiest of 24ths to you and yours!

BAD BOYS AND GIRLS GO TO JAIL

We are viva-ing on vacation with the whole family in Rosarita, Mexico. It's a much-needed break where we are drawing on ipads, taking photos, gazing upon the ocean, reading light books, eating delicious foods and recharging the batteries. Haven't done this for awhile (years!!) and it feels just dreamy. My Dad and I went into Ensenada today for a little adventuring and scoped out the Museo de Historico, a jailhouse from the late 1800s. The pictures say it all here.
