OUR FUTON BENCH IS FAMOUS

Dave and I converted our Ikea bookshelf into a place of leisure and relaxation, by transforming a dead craigslist futon and reupholstering it, adding cushions and now it's definitely one of the best spots in the house! D also raised the shelf a hair, so it's perfectly in line with the window sill for maximum tea cup placement whilst indulging in a novel and fresh breeze.

  1. I'd love to see more photos of this project. How sturdy is the book shelf? What kind of bookshelf?

  4. Futons are really beautiful, nice and comfortable to use. You can design anything or make any designs like balls, animals etc. You can also use different shapes and colors to make it cute and pretty. But if you’re looking for a high quality futon bed and mattresses, it is advisable to choose the right company that supply high quality beds with affordable prices. Good to know that it is available online for orders.

  5. Leela, Do you remember which Ikea bookshelf you used exactly? And the plywood underneath - I'm not knowledgeable about lumber - what exactly do I ask for at Home Depot? Thanks for reply!
